The work will take place at the Port of Richards Bay and the Port of Saldanha. The contract duration is one year. Key deliverables include an initial condition assessment report, monthly maintenance logs, photographic records, and ongoing risk management. The contractor must perform regular shaft rotation, lubrication management, and corrosion prevention to ensure the equipment remains in good condition while in long-term storage. All services must meet strict performance standards, including rapid reporting of critical risks and defects. Bidders must demonstrate technical expertise in rotating equipment maintenance and achieve a minimum functionality score of 60 points to qualify for further evaluation.
