The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) is seeking consulting engineering services for the routine road maintenance of various national routes across the Free State Province, including the N1, N5, N8, R26, R34, R57, and R74. The work involves detailed road condition assessments, preparation of tender documentation, construction monitoring, quality control, and financial administration for a period of five years. The project aims to maintain approximately 250 to 270 kilometers of road per contract. Key deliverables include road condition reports, tender evaluation reports, monthly progress updates, and final close-out documentation. The service provider will act as the engineer for the works contracts, managing stakeholder liaison and emergency repairs. The estimated budget for the works contracts across these projects ranges from R340 million to R500 million per contract. The service provider must ensure all work complies with SANRAL standards and the Integrated Transport Information System (ITIS) procedures.
