The Mine Health and Safety Council (MHSC) is seeking a service provider to review and migrate Minerals Act regulations into the Mine Health and Safety Act. The project involves a legal and technical review to identify inconsistencies and develop a consolidated regulatory framework for the South African mining sector. Key deliverables include a regulatory rationalisation report, a gap analysis matrix, and a final consolidated regulatory package. The project must be completed within a four-month period. The service provider must demonstrate at least 10 years of experience in legislative drafting and mining health and safety. The project team must include a professional with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. Proposals may be submitted by individual firms or multidisciplinary consortia.
