Rand Water invites tenders for the maintenance and repair of six generator sets located at their Head Office and Scientific Services facilities. The contract will run for a period of 24 months. Key deliverables include performing quarterly and annual maintenance services, such as oil and filter changes, system inspections, and waste disposal. The service provider must also offer a 24/365 emergency call-out service with a 45-minute response time. All work must be documented via a job card system and completed within 24 hours of a reported fault. The project requires technical expertise to ensure the reliability of power systems at these critical sites.
What you need to qualify
- CIDB grading (Grade 3 Mechanical Engineering (3ME)) — A Construction Industry Development Board grade in the right class of works.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

- Must hold ISO 9001 certification or equivalent
