Iziko Museums of South Africa invites service providers to fabricate, transport, and install exhibition cabinetry, display fixtures, and glasswork for the MTN x UJ and Amanzi eAfrica exhibitions. The work involves creating custom plinths, modular platforms, freestanding MDF panels, and display cases, as well as repairing existing museum display units. The project requires high-quality materials such as structural plywood and safety glass, while prohibiting the use of chipboard. Successful bidders must conduct compulsory site visits to verify measurements before fabrication. Deliverables are scheduled in phases, with final installations required between 10 November and 1 December 2026. The project aims to ensure all fixtures are durable and safe for public museum environments. Bidders must provide a detailed cost schedule and a portfolio demonstrating at least five relevant projects completed within the last ten years, such as shopfitting, museum displays, or architectural joinery.
