Description
The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) invites tenders for the decommissioning and removal of an existing walk-in freezer and the supply, installation, and commissioning of a new system. The work will take place at the SABS Head-Office in Groenkloof, Pretoria. Key deliverables include site assessment, safe removal of old equipment, installation of a new freezer capable of reaching -18 degrees or lower, system testing, staff training, and a one-year warranty with a maintenance plan. A compulsory briefing session is scheduled for 11 June 2026, and the project must be completed according to the specified technical standards.
Full requirements
- Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
- HVAC Trade Test or National Diploma and Three-phase Wireman’s License
- Registered with SA Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association (SARACCA)
- CIDB grading of 1ME or higher
- Three reference letters for similar projects completed within the last 5 years
