The South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) is seeking a registered waste service provider. The work involves the collection, separation, transportation, and disposal of waste at the SABS Groenkloof and NETFA sites. This contract will run for a period of three months. Key deliverables include managing skip collections, providing waste sorters, and ensuring proper disposal. The service provider must also credit the SABS for any rebates earned from recyclables. The project is located in Pretoria and the contract period is 90 days, ending in November 2026.
What you need to qualify
- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- B-BBEE certificate — A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit confirming your contribution level.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

- Valid waste transporter licenses for Tshwane, Ekurhuleni, and Johannesburg
- Section 20 NEMA waste permit (own or third-party)
- Valid COIDA registration
- Proof of legal liability insurance
- National Treasury CSD registration
- Valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
