Description

The Automotive Industry Development Centre (AIDC) invites quotations for the on-site and off-site calibration of equipment and instruments. The work will be performed at the Winterveldt Enterprise Hub and the Automotive Supplier Park in Rosslyn. The contract duration is 36 months. Key deliverables include the inspection of equipment, calibration using traceable and certified reference standards, and the issuance of calibration certificates and a comprehensive equipment register. All work must comply with manufacturer specifications and relevant ISO/IEC or SANS standards. The tender is subject to an 80/20 preference point system. The closing date for submissions is 12 October 2026 at 11:00. Bidders must provide firm, fixed-price quotations for all three years of the contract, including travel costs.

What you need to qualify

• CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
• Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
• B-BBEE certificate — A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit confirming your contribution level.
• Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

• Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
• Valid SANAS 17025 laboratory accreditation or formal agreement with an accredited laboratory
• Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status Pin
• Valid B-BBEE status documentation (sworn affidavit or SANAS-accredited certificate)
