Description
The George Municipality invites service providers to bid for the reading of water and electricity meters and related services. The work covers the Greater George area, including industrial zones, coastal regions, and rural districts. Key deliverables include monthly meter readings, GPS mapping of meters, reporting faulty or tampered equipment, and managing consumer queries. The service provider must use a system that integrates with the Municipality’s SOLVEM Platinum software and provide handheld devices with camera functionality. The contract runs from the appointment date until 30 June 2029. Bidders must provide a project manager, a supervisor, and at least 12 meter readers. A local office must be established in the George area within 30 days of the award. The tender closing date is 12:00 on 06 July 2026.

- Valid Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN
- Registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Valid B-BBEE certificate or certified copy
- Three current, relevant reference letters on official letterheads
- Written confirmation of SOLVEM Platinum API system compatibility
- Proof of ownership or lease for vehicles and handheld reading devices
- Detailed CVs for all key personnel
- Directors' municipal accounts showing no arrears exceeding 30 days
- Signed Joint Venture Agreement if applicable
- Minimum functionality scores of 70/100 and 75/100
