Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) invites bids for the refurbishment of a science laboratory at Delft High School in the Western Cape. The project includes demolition, installing new student and teacher workstations, plumbing, gas line installation, and setting up a chemical-resistant underground tank. The contractor must also install fume extraction systems, a smart board, and fire safety equipment. All work requires final testing and validation of plumbing, gas, and electrical systems. The project must be completed according to safety standards. Bidders must attend a compulsory site visit on 24 July 2026. The closing date for submissions is 31 July 2026.
What you need to qualify
- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- CIDB grading (Grade 2 General Building (2GB)) — A Construction Industry Development Board grade in the right class of works.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

- CIDB grading of 2GB or higher
- Proof of business location in the Western Cape
- Valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing
- Two reference letters for similar projects completed within five years
- Qualified Site Foreman and Construction Manager
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN
- Registration on National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Certified plumber credentials for laboratory installations
- Valid OEM authorization letter for distributors
