The Automotive Industry Development Centre (AIDC) is requesting quotations for an accredited Assessment and Trade Test Centre to provide services for one Motor Mechanic candidate. The scope includes pre-assessment, gap closure, trade test preparation, and the final trade test. The work must be performed by a facility accredited by merSETA, QCTO, or NAMB. The project reference number is A0319 (RFQ PR00000016404). The closing date for submissions is 14 October 2026 at 11:00. Bidders must provide fixed unit rates per candidate. The contract is valid for 90 business days from the closing date. No briefing session will be held for this project.
What you need to qualify
- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- B-BBEE certificate — A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit confirming your contribution level.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

- Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Accredited as an Assessment/Trade Test Centre (merSETA/QCTO/NAMB)
- Trade Test Assessor and Moderator with minimum 3 years experience
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Pin
- Valid B-BBEE status documentation (Sworn affidavit or SANAS certificate)
