This is a 60-month term service contract. The scope includes inspecting, repairing, testing, and supplying critical spares for switchgear originally commissioned between 2008 and 2011. As the original manufacturer no longer provides direct support, the contractor must maintain the original design base. Key deliverables include providing refurbishment reports, functional testing, commissioning, and training 40 employees. The contractor must adhere to strict response times, including 24-hour emergency mobilization. All work must comply with Eskom’s safety, quality, and environmental standards, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act and ISO 9001/14001 requirements. The project is scheduled to support plant operations until decommissioning in 2027.
