The O. R. Tambo District Municipality is inviting bids for the Mthatha Central Corridor Regional Water Supply project. This contract involves the construction of a water reticulation network and communal standpipes for Spring Vale Village. The scope includes refurbishing a 100kl reservoir, installing approximately 4.95km of water pipelines, and building 25 communal standpipes. Additionally, the project requires borehole development, including drilling, testing, and equipping, as well as the final disinfection and commissioning of the water system. The work is expected to be completed within a period of 244 days. Bidders must attend a compulsory clarification meeting to be eligible for consideration. This project aims to improve local water access through the installation of essential bulk infrastructure and secondary reticulation systems.

- CIDB grading (Grade 6 Civil Engineering (6CE)) — A Construction Industry Development Board grade in the right class of works.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- UIF registration — Registration with the Unemployment Insurance Fund.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).
