The South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO) is seeking a service provider to perform recruitment vetting services for a period of 60 months. The work will be based at the SAAO facility in Observatory, Cape Town. The scope of work includes conducting various background checks such as criminal records, identity and passport verification, local and international qualification checks, driver’s license verification, credit checks, fraud listing, deeds searches, SAPS police clearances, and checks for the National Register for Sex Offenders and the National Child Protection Register. Services will be provided on an as-and-when-required basis following the issuance of a purchase order. Bidders must demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience and provide three signed reference letters from the last five years. The offer must remain valid for 60 days from the closing date of 25 August 2026.
