Johannesburg Water is seeking information from private water producers to help supplement the city's water supply. The project involves identifying alternative water sources, such as surface or underground water, located within the City of Johannesburg. Selected providers will be responsible for the full operation, maintenance, and metering of their water facilities. All water supplied must meet the SANS 241 quality standards. Each facility should have a capacity of up to 20 million liters per day. This is a request for information to help the city manage water demand through short-term programs.
