Description

The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) is seeking an independent service provider to assess government progress regarding commitments under the Forest Sector Code. The project covers the period from November 2017 to March 2026. The successful bidder will review documentation, engage with relevant departments, and develop a completeness ratio framework. Key deliverables include an inception report, an interim progress report, and a final assessment report with recommendations. The project will be conducted over a three-month period. The work involves evaluating access to funding for black entrepreneurs, streamlining authorization processes, and managing state forest assets. The final report must be presented to the Forest Sector Charter Council. The project team must include a leader with a law qualification and a member with an auditing or accounting background, both with relevant B-BBEE experience.
