The South African Nuclear Energy Corporation (Necsa) and NTP Radioisotopes are seeking engineering design service providers for a new Radioiodine Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing facility. The project is located at the Pelindaba site in the Brits Magisterial District. This Request for Information (RFI) is a mandatory first step for companies wishing to participate in the future formal tender for design services. The scope involves designing a facility that meets strict international pharmaceutical and radiological safety standards, including cleanroom requirements and specialized ventilation systems. Interested parties must attend workshops at the Pelindaba site to understand the technical requirements. The project aims for implementation by June 2026. Participation in this RFI is essential to qualify for the subsequent formal bidding process.

- Compliance with ISO 14644, ISO 17873, SANS 10142, and SANS 10400
- Equipment must hold SABS, CE, or Eurovent certification
