The Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities (DWYPD) invites bids for the phased rollout of evidence-based Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention programmes. This project will be implemented over 30 months across schools, institutions of higher learning, and community settings in all nine South African provinces. Key deliverables include conducting baseline studies, designing gender-transformative training materials, building the capacity of local response teams, and establishing a monitoring and evaluation framework. The service provider must manage a multidisciplinary team, including a project manager, a prevention programmes specialist, and provincial coordinators. The project aims to institutionalize GBV prevention strategies and develop a sustainability plan for post-project continuity. Bidders must provide a detailed project plan and adhere to specific empowerment targets regarding the inclusion of women, youth, and persons with disabilities in the project team. The project is scheduled to commence on 01 October 2026.
