Description

The merSETA is seeking a professional facilitator to lead a strategic planning process for its Accounting Authority and Management Committee. The project focuses on skills development for the future and navigating industry uncertainty. The work involves conducting a 4-hour online stakeholder brainstorm session and a 2-day in-person strategic planning workshop scheduled for 27 to 28 July 2026. Key deliverables include a briefing session with leadership, facilitation of the brainstorm and planning workshops, and the submission of a Brainstorm Synthesis Report and a Final Strategic Resolutions Report. The facilitator must have at least 5 years of experience in board-level facilitation and deep knowledge of the South African skills development sector, including the Skills Development Act, PFMA, and recent QCTO/DHET policy directives. The work will take place in South Africa, and the facilitator must be able to manage high-level strategic dialogues effectively.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in executive-level strategic facilitation
  • Minimum 5 years experience in SETA or public entity landscape
  • Two reference letters for similar work completed within the last 2 years
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Skills Development Act, PFMA, and Public Audit Amendment Act
  • Demonstrated understanding of SAQA, QCTO, and DHET transitional directives
