The Strategic Fuel Fund (SANPC) is seeking a service provider to manufacture, supply, and deliver heavy-duty oil containment booms for the Saldanha crude oil terminal. The project aims to replace aging equipment to ensure environmental safety and operational continuity. Key deliverables include 20 sections of 50-meter inflatable booms, inflator nozzles, and spare boom valves. The equipment must meet strict technical specifications, including a fabric tensile strength of 20,000 N/5 cm, a buoyancy-to-weight ratio of 9:1, and a weight of 12.1kg/m. Bidders must provide a project plan with a Gantt chart and guarantee a delivery timeline between 10 and 19 weeks from the purchase order date. A 12-month manufacturer warranty is required for all supplied goods.
