Description

South African National Parks (SANParks) invites service providers to bid for helicopter services to conduct an Annual Aerial Census at Mokala National Park. The project requires a four-seater Jet Ranger helicopter or equivalent for 32 flight hours during September 2026. The aircraft must be equipped with specialized safety, communication, and navigation systems, including GPS and real-time spatial plotting software. The pilot must possess extensive experience, including 500 hours in aerial census and 1000 hours in turbine/piston flight. The service provider must ensure the helicopter is capable of wildlife operations, including darting. This is a once-off service contract issued by the Arid Research Unit of SANParks.
