The eThekwini Municipality is seeking a service provider for the servicing and maintenance of heavy plant and equipment over a thirty-six-month period. The contractor must provide off-site repair services, collect and deliver equipment at no extra cost, and provide detailed failure analysis reports. A key requirement is the training of apprentices from previously disadvantaged backgrounds. The contract includes strict turnaround times, such as responding to breakdowns within two hours and completing assessments within one working day. The work will take place in Durban, and the municipality will monitor performance for the duration of the contract.
