The eThekwini Municipality is inviting tenders for a 36-month rates-based contract (Contract No: 35892-1M) for the maintenance and repair of roads and stormwater infrastructure in the South-Central Region. The scope of work includes pothole patching, sidewalk repairs, cleaning of stormwater pipes and catch pits, vegetation control, and the installation of guardrails, fencing, and road markings. The project requires the provision of labor and plant equipment to perform tasks on an as-and-when-required basis. Bidders must have a CIDB grading of 6 CE or higher and demonstrate experience with at least three similar projects valued at R5 million or more. Key personnel, including a professionally registered Civil Engineer and a Site Agent, are required. A compulsory clarification meeting is scheduled for 13 July 2026 at the Engineering Training Centre in Durban. The tender closing date is 07 August 2026 at 11:00.
