Description

The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) invites service providers to tender for the mechanical overhaul of the City-to-City bus fleet. The scope of work includes the removal, overhaul, refitting, and commissioning of gearboxes, differentials, differential centre portions, front axles, flex plates, and propeller shafts. All work must strictly adhere to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications for Mercedes Benz and MAN bus models. The contract duration is three years, with services required at depots in Gauteng and the Western Cape. Bidders must ensure their workshops are located within 100km of these depots. Key deliverables include detailed job cards, the use of OEM-approved lubricants, and a 12-month unlimited kilometre warranty on all workmanship and parts.
