The service provider must ensure rapid response times for all maintenance calls, ranging from 2 to 12 hours. The work covers a facility with 94 offices, 144 air-conditioning units, and various electrical infrastructure components. This is an 'as and when needed' contract, with pricing based on hourly labor rates and material handling percentages.

- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Registered company — An active CIPC-registered company in good standing.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- CIDB grading (Grade 1 Electrical Engineering (Building) (1EB)) — A Construction Industry Development Board grade in the right class of works.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).
