The Independent Development Trust (IDT) invites contractors to join a three-year Contractor Development Programme (CDP) for the Cape Town Metro in the Western Cape. This programme aims to improve the grading status of contractors, support businesses owned by women, youth, and people with disabilities, and enhance technical and business skills. Successful applicants will be placed on a panel to bid for infrastructure projects on an 'as and when' basis. Eligible contractors must hold a CIDB grading of 2GB PE, 3GB PE, 4GB PE, or 5GB. A compulsory briefing session will be held on 23 September 2026 at the IDT Western Cape Regional Office. The closing date for submissions is 08 October 2026 at 12:00.

- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Registered company — An active CIPC-registered company in good standing.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- CIDB grading (Grade 2 General Building (2GB)) — A Construction Industry Development Board grade in the right class of works.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
