Description

Transnet Engineering is inviting proposals for the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing, calibration, and commissioning of two heavy-duty CNC-controlled portal-type milling machines. The work will take place at the Transnet Engineering Durban Main Centre. The project requires the successful bidder to manage the full lifecycle of these machines, including providing necessary air compressors, accessories, and training for 10 Transnet personnel. The contract duration is seven months. Bidders must ensure their technical proposals meet a minimum threshold of 85 points out of 100. The machines must feature a minimum table length of 8000mm and a weight capacity of 25,000kg. All work must comply with strict engineering standards, including ISO 13920 and ISO 2768.
