The South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) is seeking a service provider to offer legal, governance, and financial risk advice. This project aims to help the SAMRC meet specific conditions set by the Minister of Health for creating a new fundraising foundation. The work involves providing legal opinions, developing governance frameworks, and ensuring financial compliance with public sector regulations. The project must be completed within one month. The service provider must have expertise in South African law, corporate governance, and financial management. Key deliverables include an independent verification report and all supporting legal and governance documentation for the Minister.
What you need to qualify
- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- B-BBEE certificate — A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit confirming your contribution level.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).
