Description

Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) is inviting proposals for a 25-year developmental lease of premises located at Ambrose Park, Port of Durban. The site, identified as a portion of Remainder of Erf 10019 and a portion of Kings Royal Flats, covers an area of 70 478 square meters. The land is designated for commercial logistics activities that support the Maydon Wharf Precinct, including cargo handling, warehousing, storage, and distribution centers. The successful bidder will be responsible for the design, construction, and full funding of all site infrastructure, including buildings, bulk services, and security. The project excludes hazardous chemical storage, truck staging, and open-air dust mineral storage. A non-compulsory briefing session is scheduled for 21 August 2026, and the final submission deadline is 30 September 2026. Bidders must demonstrate at least ten years of experience in commercial logistics and provide a comprehensive business plan with a funding model.
