Concessioning of Transnet Rail B-Network Line.

Description

Transnet Rail Infrastructure Manager is seeking bids for a property lease on the B-Network line from Wolseley to Port Alfred for a minimum of 25 years. The goal is to find a concessionaire to invest in, develop, and operate the line. The line is approximately 28 km long. Key deliverables include an operational model, maintenance plans, a security management plan, an emergency response plan, and an investment plan.

Requirements

• Valid B-BBEE certificate or Sworn Affidavit required.
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Railway Safety Act.
• Safety permits and licenses from the Railway Safety Regulator required.
• PSIRA company registration certificate required.
• Security service provider's firearm registration certificate required.
• Railway Safety Permit required (where applicable).
• Registered on National Treasury’s Central Supplier Database (CSD).
