The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) is seeking a panel of service providers to perform electrical repairs and maintenance. This work will take place at various ARC research farms and sites across South Africa. The contract will last for five years. Key tasks include maintaining 3-phase and single-phase power supplies, irrigation and borehole pumps, substations, transformers, standby generators, PV solar systems, and electrical fencing. Service providers must be located within 200km of the sites they intend to service. The closing date for this tender is 06 July 2026.

- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- B-BBEE certificate — A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit confirming your contribution level.
- CIDB grading (Grade 1 Electrical Engineering (Infrastructure) (1EP)) — A Construction Industry Development Board grade in the right class of works.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

- Must possess CIDB grading EP or EB grade 1 or higher
- Must have valid SARS Tax PIN
- Must be registered on CSD (report under 3 months old)

- Must provide three references for similar electrical maintenance work
