Description

The Saldanha Bay Municipality is seeking a service provider to manage and operate the municipal animal pound for a three-year period, from July 2026 to June 2029. The facility is located at Farm Eenzaamheid in Vredenburg. The successful bidder will be responsible for the daily care, feeding, and humane handling of impounded animals, as well as facility maintenance and administrative record-keeping. Key requirements include coordinating with veterinary services and ensuring compliance with animal welfare legislation. Bidders must demonstrate at least three years of relevant experience and provide proof of access to specialized animal transport vehicles and qualified inspectors who have completed the NSPCA Inspectors’ Course.
