The Western Cape Provincial Parliament is seeking a service provider for a 60-month managed internet and firewall contract. The project involves providing secure, high-speed fibre and wireless connectivity, managed firewall services with intrusion detection, and public DNS hosting. The work will take place at the Provincial Legislature Building in Cape Town. Key deliverables include a 99.9% uptime guarantee, monthly service reporting, and full integration with the organization's security systems. The implementation phase is scheduled to begin in April 2027, with a final go-live date set for June 2027. The service provider must manage approximately 150 users and 300 devices, ensuring all security logs are retained for 12 months.
