The Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism invites service providers to conduct an ecological risk assessment regarding the harvest and utilisation of Aardvark and Honey Badger in the Eastern Cape. The project requires a comprehensive literature review, stakeholder engagement workshops across three regions, and the development of a risk classification framework and monitoring guidelines. Key deliverables include an Inception Report, a Scoping and Gap Analysis, a final Ecological Risk Assessment report, and a public participation summary. The project must be completed within a maximum of 9 months. A compulsory hybrid briefing session is scheduled for 11 August 2026. The final report must be provided in both English and IsiXhosa.
