The Department of Police Oversight and Community Safety is seeking a service provider to lease 70 Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) handheld devices for 36 months. The work will take place in the Western Cape. The devices must be rugged, smartphone-style units with touchscreens, GPS, emergency buttons, and long battery life. Key deliverables include an uncapped data plan, secure data storage, a two-day training program, and a 24-hour maintenance and replacement turnaround. Bidders must provide five sample devices for a two-week testing period. All costs, including maintenance and data, must be included in a fixed monthly fee.
