The Railway Safety Regulator (RSR) is inviting service providers to submit quotations for ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System certification and surveillance audit services. The work involves conducting an initial certification audit in 2026, followed by two surveillance audits in 2027 and 2028. The service provider must provide a detailed report on non-conformities and opportunities for improvement, facilitate feedback sessions with stakeholders, and support the alignment of the management system. The project will take place at the offices of the Railway Safety Regulator. All work must be conducted by a qualified Lead Auditor with recognized training and experience in ISO 45001:2018 audits. The closing date for submissions is 19 June 2026 at 10h00.

- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Registered company — An active CIPC-registered company in good standing.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- B-BBEE certificate — A B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit confirming your contribution level.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

- Valid Tax Compliance Pin and Tax Clearance Certificate
- Valid CIPC company registration documents
- Valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
- Lead Auditor certification from BSI, TUV, PECB, IRCA, or Exemplar Global
- Reference letters for similar audits conducted within the last 5 years
