The project follows a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, requiring the migration from the current Vodacom-managed solution to a new platform, followed by a phased transition to Microsoft Teams. Key deliverables include SIP trunking, contact center support, 24/7 field service support across all nine provinces, and the maintenance of existing Yealink hardware alongside the procurement of new MS Teams-certified devices. The solution must provide geographic interconnection points in major hubs including Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg. The contract includes annual price reviews and a requirement for the final transfer of the platform and assets to Transnet at the end of the term.
