The eThekwini Municipality seeks a service provider for the installation of Electricity Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) components over 36 months. The project includes installing, exchanging, commissioning, and testing residential and commercial meters. Responsibilities include verifying smart meter communications, managing customer handovers, capturing installation data, and conducting tamper inspections. The contractor must manage municipal stock securely and maintain quality control. A qualified team, including an ECSA-registered project manager and trade-tested electricians, is required. Work is conducted on a rate-based, re-measurement basis.
