The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) invites service providers to submit bids for a fully integrated offsite data backup and cloud data protection service. The project involves managing backups, disaster recovery testing, and cyber recovery for ICASA’s infrastructure, including VM workloads, physical servers, and Microsoft 365 data. The contract will span a period of 5 years. Key deliverables include the migration of approximately 70Tb of data, daily backup monitoring, monthly reporting, and the provision of technical staff for implementation and testing. The solution must support 100TB of raw data with annual growth and ensure encryption at rest and in transit. The work will be performed at ICASA’s facilities in Centurion. The closing date for submissions is 07 September 2026 at 11:00.

- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).
