The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) regarding the implementation of a Cloud-based Omni-channel Contact Centre as a Service (CCaaS). The project aims to support high-volume citizen services for social grant enquiries across various digital and voice channels, including WhatsApp, SMS, web chat, and social media. The work will be based at the SASSA Head Office in Pretoria. The agency is seeking information from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and their local South African distributors to assess market capabilities, technical integration options, and architectural requirements. Key deliverables include a detailed proposal covering the technical solution, implementation methodology, operational support models, and data residency confirmation within South Africa. The solution must be capable of handling national-scale performance and secure data management. The closing date for this RFI is 20 July 2026 at 11:00 AM. This process is for information gathering and does not constitute a formal commitment to procure services at this stage.
