Maintenance of Elevators and Stair Lifts at O.R. Tambo Airport

Description

The Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) is seeking a service provider for the maintenance of elevators and wheelchair stair lifts at O.R. Tambo International Airport. This contract covers both landside and airside equipment for a duration of eight months. The successful bidder will be responsible for preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, inventory management, and regular reporting to ensure 95% equipment availability. The work requires a team of qualified personnel, including a site supervisor, trade-tested lift mechanics, and store management staff. All services must be provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Bidders must demonstrate technical expertise and meet strict safety and operational standards throughout the project period.

What you need to qualify

• CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
• Registered company — An active CIPC-registered company in good standing.
• Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
• CIDB grading (Grade 4 Specialist Works (4SW)) — A Construction Industry Development Board grade in the right class of works.
• Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
• Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

Full requirements

• Valid CIDB contractor grading of 4SI or higher
• Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN
• Proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database
• Valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing
• Proof of financial solvency and bank rating
• Valid CIPC registration and legal entity documentation
• Key personnel must hold SAQA accredited trade tests and N-level qualifications
• Must maintain Public Liability, Professional Indemnity, and Aviation Liability insurance
