The Musina-Makhado Special Economic Zone (MMSEZ) is seeking to appoint a panel of professional civil and structural engineering service providers. The successful firms will provide services over a 36-month period, covering the full project life cycle from inception to close-out. Key deliverables include civil and structural designs, contract administration, and site inspections. The work must incorporate labour-intensive methods following EPWP guidelines and prioritize energy-efficient, sustainable green design solutions. Service providers are required to submit monthly progress reports. The project will take place in the Limpopo region. Bidders must demonstrate at least 10 years of company experience and ensure that at least 51% of the business is owned by professionals registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
What you need to qualify
- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Registered company — An active CIPC-registered company in good standing.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- VAT registration — A registered VAT vendor number with SARS.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).

- Valid Tax Compliance Status (TCS) PIN or certificate
- Registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Professional Indemnity insurance of at least R1.5 million or double contract value
- Principals and key personnel must hold current ECSA registration
- Company registration and VAT registration certificates
