Transnet Freight Rail is seeking a service provider to develop AI and machine learning models for data analytics. The project aims to improve fleet reliability, maintenance planning, and operational decision-making using Transnet’s proprietary datasets. The work will be performed in Gauteng and involves research, prototyping, and the creation of predictive and prescriptive algorithms. Key deliverables include prototype models, technical documentation, training manuals, and implementation plans. The project duration is three years, with a non-compulsory briefing session scheduled for 24 July 2026. Bids must be valid for 180 days after the closing date of 12 August 2026.
