The Government Technical Advisory Centre (GTAC) is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Management (SCM) Advisor to support the National Treasury with the Municipal Finance Improvement Programme (MFIP) Phase IIIx. The work will be based at the Mpumalanga Provincial Treasury in Nelspruit. The advisor will help improve SCM practices, build staff capacity, align policies with legislation, and manage contracts. Key deliverables include monthly activity reports, performance reports, and a final close-out report. The contract runs until 31 March 2027, requiring full-time effort for up to 230 days per year. The advisor must provide their own computer equipment and software. Bidders must hold an Honours degree or higher in a relevant field and possess extensive experience in local government financial management.
