Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) invites tenders for the VDF Replacement Project (Reference: ATNS/ATS/RFP02/04/2026/27/VDF_REPLACEMENT_Nav_2020_387). The project involves the procurement, supply, installation, and commissioning of five VHF Direction Finder (VDF) systems. These will be installed at Richards Bay (FARB), Virginia (FAVG), Pilanesberg (FAPN), Grand Central (FAGC), and the ATNS Aviation Training Academy (ATA). The scope includes decommissioning old systems, site surveys, system design, and providing a 15-year logistics support and maintenance plan. The project duration is 24 months for implementation, followed by a 12-month Period of Beneficial Use. Bidders must provide training for technical staff and ensure all systems meet international aviation standards. The contract requires fixed pricing in Rands for the acquisition phase. All work must be completed in accordance with strict safety, environmental, and technical regulations at the specified airport locations.
