The eThekwini Municipality is seeking contractors for a 36-month panel contract to perform maintenance and repairs on roads and stormwater infrastructure. Work will take place across the city on an as-and-when-required basis. Key tasks include upgrading gravel roads to surfaced roads, improving intersections, installing pedestrian facilities, and managing stormwater drainage systems like manholes and pipes. The project also covers emergency disaster repairs, earthworks, and road signage. This is a rates-based contract where payments are issued per work package order. The contract is subject to the Medium Term Revenue Expenditure Framework.

- CSD registration — Registration on the Central Supplier Database — required to do business with government.
- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- CIDB grading (Grade 4 Civil Engineering (4CE)) — A Construction Industry Development Board grade in the right class of works.
