The project covers approximately 15,000 hectares, including three lodges: Shishangeni Main Lodge, Camp Shonga, and Camp Shawu. The successful bidder will manage all infrastructure, including 34km of existing game drive roads, and provide tourism services such as accommodation and game drives. The operator must maintain high environmental and building standards while meeting specific B-BBEE transformation goals. The project requires significant financial capacity, with a minimum net asset value of R10 million and a commitment to pay a monthly PPP fee to SANParks. The bid submission deadline is 5 October 2026.
