Description

The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) is seeking a service provider to develop and enhance its mobile infrastructure. The project involves transforming the existing mobile application into a modular Super App for iOS and Android, implementing a long-distance digital ticketing system, and launching a WhatsApp Business channel for passenger services. The work will take place over a 24-week period, consisting of a 6-week initial production phase followed by 18 weeks of hypercare, support, and enhancements. Key deliverables include a secure API-first shared service layer, integration of payment gateways, and full knowledge transfer of source code and designs to PRASA. Bidders must provide four mandatory key roles, including a Product Delivery Lead, Solution Architect, UX/UI Lead, and Engineering Leads, all with significant experience in digital product delivery and transport systems.
