The Independent Development Trust (IDT) invites Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) to participate in the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) Non-State Sector for the 2026/2027 to 2028/2029 financial years. The project involves recruiting participants to perform community work, including facility maintenance, waste management, road maintenance, and food security support. NPOs must manage between 50 and 350 participants across main sites located within a 45km radius of their offices. Key deliverables include participant recruitment, biometric attendance management, monthly reporting, and UIF administration. NPOs must provide specific administrative and financial staff and ensure they have the necessary equipment for biometric systems. The programme aims to create sustainable work opportunities across various provinces.

- Tax clearance — A valid SARS tax compliance status (PIN) showing your tax affairs are in order.
- Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
- UIF registration — Registration with the Unemployment Insurance Fund.
- Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).
