The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) in the KwaZulu-Natal region is seeking to appoint a panel of service providers for thermographic and infrared scanning of electrical infrastructure. The work includes inspecting 3kV DC overhead track equipment, traction and distribution systems, AC distribution substations, and 3kV tie stations. The contract will run for 36 months on an 'as and when required' basis. Key deliverables include detailed inspection reports, raw thermographic and visual images, temperature maps, and a summary of findings categorized by severity. Inspections are required every six months. The project is subject to the availability of funding from PRASA.
